Ruf Dug is a Manchester-based DJ and producer and a former Red Bull Music Academy participant. His label Rüf Kutz is renowned for its analogue house mutations and raw aesthetic, featuring hand stamped labels and black sleeved discs ready for the club.
In 2015, after spending a brief period in the French Caribbean, he released the LP Island on Kenneth Bager’s imprint Music for Dreams. Island, unlike his Rüf Kutz productions, is distinctly downtempo and quietly reminiscent of Wally Badarou’s ‘Echoes’. Moving across genres like dub and reggae, while sonically and thematically remaining consistent.
It was a pleasure to host Ruf Dug at Endless Sunset last year.
