JAZ – A little bit of JAZ Pt. 1
JAZ (John Arthur Zahl) is an Episcopal priest, DJ and Edit-producer. He recently put out “Crash Boom” on Universal Cave and has previously released edits with Claremont 56 sub-label, Sixty Five. Inspired by legendary DJs like Harvey and Daniele Baldelli, JAZ started digging and throwing monthly parties at the Faculty Lounge in South Carolina.
This mix is a 2 hour genre-bending tour de force. It’s also a tribute to his favourite producer, Marzio “The Monster” Benelli, the owner of Studio Emme in Florence and the prolific producer of some of the craziest Italo sounds. The mix features 6 tracks from him, including one unreleased track that JAZ sourced from Marzio himself. There’s also plenty of fresh unreleased edits and JAZ & Party Dad’s remix of Everybody’s Lover, which is coming out soon via Psychemagik. Like me, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the hilarious interludes in between.
